When Aaron was young and on family vacations, he was always frustrated with the way his mum frames pictures of the family - low horizon subjects next to proportionally large monuments amidst a sea of tourists. When he tried to take a hand at the camera, he gets stopped immediately.

A largely self-taught writer and director, Aaron gravitates towards stories about faiths and lived experiences. He graduated from Singapore Management University and continuously refines his filmmaking craft through freelance & full-time assignments, watching films and making his own films. In his first job, Aaron managed film equipment rentals for local and overseas movie productions. He then went on to shoot and edit news packages full-time for international news agencies. After 4 years in the industry, Aaron decided to take his own shot at the camera and self-funded his first short film.

To date, Aaron has made two short films that have travelled Europe, Canada and Singapore. In between projects, Aaron industriously exercises his skills and experiences in a wide range of commercial and corporate assignments. Recently, Aaron led the production of the Official Music Video for Pope Francis's inaugural visit to Singapore in 2024.
